| Cleveland to Host Museum Conference at Renaissance Hotel |
|
Thursday, October 07 2010 @ 08:32 AM Contributed by: Cleveland

The Rogers Company announces that it is exhibiting at the Association of Midwest Museums Conference 2010 October 6 – 8, The Renaissance Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. Museums and other cultural institutions both regionally and nationally have been a large segment of Rogers' client portfolio which includes both non-profit and corporate clients.
Van Rogers, a visionary in the trade show booth display and design industry, built the company on both creative flair and business savvy. Rogers, who founded The Rogers Company over 65 years ago, was strongly influence by his experiences working in Hollywood in the early days under Walt Disney, an experience which brought a showman-like theatricality to many of the exhibits he designed and built. Today, the Rogers Company continues that tradition through a creative design department and highly skilled craftsman to bring ideas to life.
"The Rogers Company is unique because we have teams of both skilled designers and craftsman so there is no disconnect between design and implementation," says Jeffrey Blackwell, president of The Rogers Company. "We bring fresh new ideas to the table, and also have the skills to implement those ideas under one roof. This is a boon to many museums who can work with us hands-on through the whole process." The AMM conference is held annually attracting hundreds of museum professionals who convene to network and share valuable information about the museum profession.
The 2010 AMM conference features sessions, speakers, and special events, including an opening reception at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Great Lakes Science Center. The conference will also include receptions and tours at many of the other cultural institutions in Cleveland, including the Cleveland Museum of Art, Western Reserve Historical Society, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and the Cleveland Botanical Gardens.
