Hollywood is preparing to make a sequel to “A Christmas Story.” A Christmas Story House has its own Facebook page. The page owner of A Christmas Story House has announced that the filming will not occur at the Christmas Story House. It hasn't been announced if any filming will be done in Cleveland yet.
Casting has already begun for “A Christmas Story Too.” The sequel will be directed by Brian Levant who has also directed such Hollywood gems as “Jingle All the Way” and “Beethoven.”
The premise of the film features a teenage Ralphie who wants a 1938 Hupmobile Skyline convertible for Christmas. He takes one test drive in the car and ruins the convertible top leaving him rushing to obtain money for repairs. Filmmakers are on the prowl for an 18-year-old actor to play the part of Ralphie. Roles for the mom, dad and brother Randy also need to be filled.
This is technically the third installment of “A Christmas Story” series. In 1994, “It Runs in the Family” was released featuring Kieran Culkin as Ralphie and Charles Grodin as the dad. It was released on DVD as “A Summer Story.”
