Home Cleveland News RTA introuduces the "Cleveland Pass" geared for visitors
Cleveland News

In an effort to make Cleveland more tourist friendly, RTA is introducing the “Cleveland Pass.” The Cleveland Pass is an easy-to-use pass to ride Cleveland’s public transit. The cards would cost $5 per day and can be purchased online, at Cleveland Hopkins Airport, hotels and at certain welcome centers operated by Positively Cleveland. The cost is the same as an all-day pass to RTA’s bus and rail routes.

Discounted fares for large groups of 100 or more are still being negotiated. Group rates would be booked in advance online. This way, visitors could print their passes before arrival.

Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority officials expect the number of Cleveland tourists to dramatically increase thanks to the Horseshoe Casino, Greater Cleveland Aquarium and the medical mart convention center which should open up next year.

Giving visitors easy access to transportation is a helpful way to boost tourism and ensure their return to our great city. Enabling visitors to reach one destination after another without much hassle will likely cause them to spend more time and money in Cleveland.
