One person is dead and three are injured due to a shooting near the West Side Market.
The incident began as a fight shortly after 2 a.m. inside the Envy Lounge on West 25th Street. Three off-duty police officers were working security at the bar and escorted the men outside.
One of the men thrown out entered a car with two others and then spotted the man he was fighting with standing outside. The man reached for a gun inside of his car and began to fire into the crowd. Three people were shot.
Two of the officers fired back and hit the suspect in the neck and shoulder. The suspect got back in the car and proceeded to drive a short distance before he died.
The three shooting victims were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. One of the men in the shooters car was taken as well. He was either hurt in the fight or the car crash.
