Carmen Policy Leaving Browns Cleveland---In a report in Bernies Insiders
www.berniesinsiders.com
, as well as on CBS Sportsline and in an article by Pat McManamon,
the Browns announced today that Carmen Policy will step down as
President and CEO of the Browns effective at the conclusion of the
season. He will return to his 10 acre property in the NAPA valley to
bottle wine under his family named label. He is to stay on as a
"consultant" for the Browns. 01/05/03 Browns Lose after
leading by 17. It
seemed too good to be true. The Browns played like a team that was
destined to go all the way, or at least make it to Oakland to
revenge "Red Right 88". But it was the same old heartbreak
as they found a way to lose. The Offense played well at times
but it was not enough. When it really counted they could not get a
first down. The defense played well in the first 3 quarter but gave
up too many penalties and passing yard by the other teams
quarterback. Well at least Ohio State won. Maybe next year for the
Browns.

"Orange Rush" Corrals Texans
by Mark Riley
Sporting Bright Orange "Alternate" Jerseys, the
Cleveland Browns got back on Browns win against
Texans 34-17. The special teams
and defense stepped up to assure a victory against the expansion
Houston team. A 95 yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Andre'
Davis and 9 sacks by the defense highlighted a strong second half.
The other highlight for a longtime Browns fan was a tribute to the
1950 championship team. In attendance during halftime included
Browns greats, Otto Gram and others. 10/13/2002
