Jonathan Cheechoo and
Lynn Loyns Assigned To Cleveland Today
CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Barons were assigned right wing
Jonathan Cheechoo and left wing Lynn Loyns by the San Jose
Sharks today. Barons General Manager, Wayne Thomas, made the
announcement.
Jonathan
Cheechoo, 6-1, 195 lbs., was a Cleveland fan favorite last
year. Cheechoo began this season with the Sharks playing in 11
games scoring 1 goal and recording 4 penalty minutes. Last
year with the Barons, Cheechoo played in 53 games scoring 46
points (21-25=46) and recording 54 penalty minutes. He was
among three Barons players to make the AHL All-Star game last
season.
Lynn
Loyns, 5-11, 200 lbs., began last season as a non-drafted free
agent landing with the Sharks organization. Loyns played in 76
games with the Barons last season posting 18 points (9-9=18).
Loyns played in 10 games with the Sharks this season scoring
two goals and recording 19 penalty minutes.
Both
players are expected to take part in the Barons game tonight
against the Houston Aeros. The Aeros come to town boasting a
13-3-1 record, second-best in the AHL. The action starts at
7:05 at Gund Arena and plenty of tickets are still available.

purchased at the Gund Arena Box Office the night of the game.
Also, "Cleveland's Idol", Jaime Bell, will perform
the Star Spangled Banner prior to the game. So catch your
Barons take on the Milwuakee Admirals at 7:05 on November
30th, and receive your free second ducat at the door!

BROADCAST SCHEDULE
The
Barons are in the midst of a five-game homestand defeating
Cincinnati 4-3, Rochester 4-3, and Albany 4-2, while losing to
Hershey 3-1. The homestand will end tonight as the Barons take
on the Houston Aeros. Great seats are still available at the
Gund Arena Box Office and all TicketMaster Outlets. Both
tonight and tomorrow night's games can be heard live on WKNR.
