Cleveland Public Library is the first library in the nation to offer ReadThisNow.net, a new live online readers' advisory feature of KnowltNow24X7.net services. ReadThisNow.net draws on the expertise of library professionals at CPL Branches and Main Library and CLEVNET Consortium libraries engaged daily in matching readers with books.

Equipped with all the resources available at the library (both print and digital) librarians are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer questions and assist in finding information about books and reading. Once logged on, readers and a librarian engage in a "chat" session that features cobrowsing capabilities.

At the conclusion of each ReadThisNow.net session, readers receive a complete transcript of the session via email that includes links to all Internet resources shared during that session. ReadThisNow.net has a Readers' Resource web page, and a "reading management" system which allows readers to keep track of their reading lists and share recommendations with others.

Cleveland Public Library, the nation's third largest public research library, has a long-standing tradition of meeting the information needs of the community. Patrons who live, work, or attend school in Cuyahoga County, Ohio or in any CLEVNET library service area, may use the ReadThisNow.net service. For more information, call (216) 623-2869.
